On one hand, yay. A sequel. On the other...its not a PS3 game as well.

shame its not coming to the ps3, but it does mean sega is taking interest in the the IP so we could see more VP stuff in the future on the ps3. the DLc stuff was fun and showed at least they are supporting the product. besides segas Sonic stuff , a lot of their game releases are really niche stuff( at least over here in pal land),
a good sleeper hit is just as worthwhile as an overhyped one week of sales title

This just makes me wish the PS3 was able to play PSP games. (And that should be true, darn it!)

You just made me scream for joy at work.

This has led to awkward questions.

I hope you're happy.

It really, really should.

Looks like I may finally have to pick up a PSP.

I would have preferred a PS3 sequel, but who knows, if the PSP game does well, maybe we'll get one.

I wonder if Sega will bother marketing this one in the U.S., y'know, at all.

I'm increasingly convinced that Sega's business model is some kind of Job-esque bet to see just how poorly they can handle things without going out of business.

All the same, I'm glad to see they're supporting the property.

This makes me quite happy indeed!

My only TINY little disappointment is that I was kind of looking forward to getting another console game. In other words, around 80% of the games I get these days are on my portables, because the games I want to play most of the time come on portables. :p

But I love my PSP so its not like I'm complaining!

I can't read any of the Japanese in that Famitsu ad, but it looks like this will be an all-new setting on a continent/world of its own.

No crossover of characters from VC1, in other words.

Though, it would be cool if Vyse, Aika and Alex turn up again. (Damn the anime! )

A translation was made on Animesuki.

Producer :-Tanaka Shuntaro Chara Designer :- Hounjou Raita Music :- Sakimoto Hitoshi Ad Hoc Mode inclusive

60% completed

It's 1937. An anti-Drascen movement gained ground 2 years after the events of VC1. Calling themselves the "Gallian Revolutionaries", they start a Civil War in the South Eastern part of Gallia. The Duchy Of Gillia, still weaken from the war with the Empire, fail to quell the uprising with their Millitias. Having no choice, Gallia inserted their Officers Cadets into the field....

Characters :-

Aban Hades (?) Main Protagonist(Seiyuu :- Hiroyuki Yoshino)
Searching for the truth behind his brother's death, he joined the Officer Cadets Academy. Takes up the role of Class Rep amongst the war wearied cadets. 17 years old.

Zeli(?) (Seiyuu :- Hiroshi Kamiya )
Dracsen Partner to Aban. Plays the rational role as opposed to Aban's rash mentaility.17 years old.

Cosette Calheath(?) (Seiyuu :-Kitamura Eri)
A cheerful optiimistical girl who is a medic in training. The class mood and trouble maker. 17 years old.

A mysterious Valkyria girl (Seiyuu:- ???)
A valkyrian who wields a Shield and a wipe shaped spear. It's not known why she hangs around Aban and his clinche.

Games Concept :- School Life + War

Game will focus around how the officer cadet's life gets turn around when they thrust into the battlefield.

The school will act as a mission briefing room where the player choose to select missions before proceeding with oen.

After a mission is complete, Player will return to the school. Such the the way the player will proceed with the game.

Interview :-

The producer made this PSP release knowing the charm of VC1.
The new work will featured a upgraded version of the popular BLiTZ battle system.
The growth system will be better since the player will be able to customise their characters
An Adhoc mode is included to allow room for new ways to play the game.
Producer wants the player to know that they are serious about this game being a true sequal,
This game is not just a spin off and the fact that this is on a handheld does not mean the game has been downgraded.
The number of mission has increased from the previous title. And the number of units accessible for growth is vast.
They are still making use of the CANVAS system, but they tried to work it into a manageable level that can be handled by a handheld.

Time will be shown passing in the game by the way the students are dressed for the seasons, events happening and how the Pool is

SO it's just set within the borders of Gallia? Interesting.

Not that it means much, it's not like you can actually travel on the world map.

Hopefully they come up with some more cool levels.
