Though usually concentrating on RPG design the other idea I had a great idea for a card game. So good that I have been thinking about putting it into production.

The only problem is I have no idea how to go about the construction and such.
My first thought was the get the printing done atthe local colour copy shop and cut the cards by hand, but that would hardly lead to a professional finish. I could guillotine them but that would leave sharp corners.

The thing I need to know is: Are there any companies out there which just produce custom deisgned cards on demand? Somewhere I can outsource my needs to get a deck of about 30 cards with specific designs?

If I search for manufacturers online all I find is the companies that make thier own games, and none of them will even look into outside designs.

Is there anyone out there who offers such a service??

A while ago I helped produce a CCG style business card. Most (edit: /many) printers can cut cards with rounded edges, though obviously this ups the price!

Most are pretty friendly too, if you respect the fact that they're not there solely to give you advice, so make a few phone calls.

Hope that helps!

Thanks. I'll look into that.

I'm still left with problem 2 however:
Boxes.

I've tried cutting/glueing my own but they always have big greasy fingermarks on them, nowhere near machine folded quality.
