The ability for the thread creator to delete threads has the potential for abuse or hard feelings when replies to a thread are deleted along with the original poster's message.
I'd like to see this functionality removed. Since I'm not sure I can speak for everyone, I made this a poll.
A compromise might be to allow the poster to lock their own thread; at least this way, others' posts are not lost, and they have a point of reference if they want to start a separate thread of their own.
Sandy: do you prefer to have enhancement requests such as this one submitted as polls, or simple messages? (Please feel free to lock this if the latter is true.)
