Hey guys/gals,
Here's another piece I did for Bastion Press.
The brief for this was 'an undead walking through the forest and covered in leaves, quater page'.
Here's a little info about the creature Ithought you might like, 'Bracken corpses are the reanimated remains of murder victims hidden or dumped in the wilderness by their killer'.
Lovely eh.... hence I assumed it would be rotted and eaten a fair amount.
:)
Any C&C is welcome as usual
Cheers,
Scott.
Very good- as always- idea of breaking frame works especially well in this one.
Oh you bastard Scott, that is just brilliant. The movement in it is just spectacular, and he has a wonderfully stricken expression on his face.
Great mood. Great detail. Great picture. :D

tight work here. i'll join the chorus here, the movement is fantastic, its sweeping, not sure i ever pulled that off in a single figure shot b4.
i also like the way the wind is blowing the undead corpses flesh away(or is that residual grass/leaf debris that he was covered under), gives you the feeling this guys is all ashy and flakey.
great job, blob.

I'm a sucker for creepy undead stuff. This is great. I love the handling of the texture, and the energy, and, well, it's just cool. You seem to get better with every post. Great job.

Ahhh.... undead. Love it. Reminds me of Berni Wrightson around the Swamp Thing era. Great flow to the whole thing.

Yeah, that's a good piece all right - I like the sense of motion you get from all of the little bits of debris, and the facial design's pretty quirky - reminds me a little of Skizz from 2000AD. Good stuff.

You tend to notice after seeing a number of posts by an artist, that all of a sudden there is a gear change and the artist starts cranking out slicker, more professional, confident pieces. I think Scott's recent posts are showing he has stepped up a level.
I really like this piece, cool texture, dynamic pose, great movement.
Keep it up fella !
Cheers,
--David.

Really "Lovely" =)
That's one great piece of art and I must join with the others and give compliments for breaking the borders and succeeding in it very, very well.
Lovely =)

Hey guys/gals,
Thanks for the great comments!
The frame breaking is something I've brought into my work only recently but it does seem to have a positive effect on my work which I am very pleased with.
I'm glad you all see the difference aswell, which is very encouraging!
Thankyou all :)
Scott.
