edit: Okay, so I didn't read the guidelines. It's been a long week.
In any case, our group does a wide variety of stuff and we're always looking for new faces.
Game/System: We have a decent collection of WoD games, including all the modern corebooks, and a nice selection of GURPS games.
Other games we like (or would like) to play include:
Aberrant
Adventure
All Flesh Must Be Eaten
Big Eyes, Small Mouth
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Call of Cthulu
Conspiracy X
Exalted
Fading Suns
Feng Shui
Gear Krieg
Hellboy
Nephilim
Nobilis
Paranoia
Shadowrun
SLA Industries
Space 1889
Star Trek
Star Wars
Transhuman Space
Traveller
Unknown Armies
Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay
Play Location/Method: Rutland, Vt.
Time/Frequency: varies widely.
Genre: varies even more widely
Current needs: Fresh blood. Our long-term game is currently full, but we do one-shots and mini-campaigns and may start another long-term game. We will take players or GMs
Accept Drop-In Players? I think so.
Accept Spectators? Maybe. Contact first
Short description of the setting/campaign (5 lines or less):

Hey, if my post has to adhere to the designated format, yours should, too.

Thanks, Kuma.
Sorry again for not reading the guidelines first.

The guidelines say bumping once a week is allowed.
I showed restraint and waited (almost) a whole month.
Anybody out there?

I'd laugh, but I feel your pain all too sharply.
Sometimes, I think we're the only two people in Vermont with the internet.

No, you'll be joined by me in about a month, you poor bastards. I'm moving to Arlington, which isn't too far from Rutland.

Nice!
Arlington is just under an hour away, but you're welcome to join us any time you want to make the drive.
So, what's your poison, Qusoor? We've added Hong Kong Action Theatre, Deadlands (original and Hell on Earth), Toon, Witchcraft and Millennium's End to the above list.
Right now we're gearing up for a Buffy game as well. If you GM, I would certainly be interested in hearing about what you might want to run.

Cossack, it's not too far for me to drive to Rutland and I'm almost finished with The Move That Lasted 2 Months. Once that chapter has been closed, I should be able to steal some time for a 1 shot or two.
Color me interested.

I'd definitely be up for some one-shots or short campaigns. I game on Sundays. Tuesdays aren't great for me, but can be done sometimes. All other days are open. Used to be a busier frog, but there's no more overtime at my job and I'm done with some classes I was taking.

I think it'll be a little whole before I'm up to game mastering. I've never had a problem learning new game systems, and it sounds like a nice spread of games to be had. I'll play just about anything, so long as someone is enthused, and they're willing to walk me through the system once.
This seems to indicate that you can point me towards a good game store. How are you for a good comic book store?

My FLGS is comprised of the Sales forum here and Amazon.com. There's nothing for games or comics in Rutland. I don't know about Arlington, but it's smaller than we are so I wouldn't get my hopes up. You're moving to the sticks.
Burlington (90 minutes north of here) has a decent FLGS and a decent comic book store, located for your convenience in the same building. There are supposedly game shops in Vergennes (on the way to Burlington) and Brattelboro (closer to you than to us - the southeastern corner of the state) but I have never been to either.
We have all have erratic schedules so lately I've been running very episodic campaigns in a catch-as-catch-can approach. We've been doing Project Twilight and Adventure that way, and it'll probably be the approach we take with Buffy once that gets going. We may be doing Deadlands, too, since there's been some interest in that from the group. One of the other guys is running a D&D 3e Oriental Adventures game.
I just got One Shots for UA and would like to run Jailbreak with as many Players as possible. I also have a GURPS WWII game I've been waiting for enough players to do properly: PCs are paratroopers on D-Day and they have to figure out where they are and what to do next.

Cossack,
I PM'd you a couple of days ago--I usually have Saturdays free. I'm busy for the next couple of weeks (Sep 6 and Sep 13), but let me know if you have any openings the last couple weeks of September.

...and look at that! I'm bumping it again!
If anyone in the area is interested in a Saturday morning game, please, don't be shy. Speak up.

I just thought I'd give this a bump, seeing as how it's been a while and all...

I'm new to this forum and i was wondering if there are any 3.5 D&D groups in Rutland?

I live in Burlington myself, but another resource to try is Green Mountain Roleplayers (http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/greenmountainroleplayers/), an e-mail list for Vermont area gamers.

The only D&Ders I know personally play 2nd edition, but I'll ask around.
