Play Location: Somewhere in the wilds of Chicago's suburbs
Game/System: Savage Worlds
Player or GM? I run, you play.
Time/Frequency: Weeknights, probably Wednesday or Thursday, late afternoon-evenings.
Genre: Savage Worlds is nicely generic, so anything's possible, but I'm currently partial to running Evernight (dark fantasy)
Current needs: 3-4 players.
Accept Drop-In Players? Evernight's setting makes it tough to accept transient players, but if you're there more often than not, we can work something out.
Accept Spectators? This sounds weird to me, but sure, if you're into that.
Short description of the setting/campaign (5 lines or less): example:
The PCs start out as your typical medieval fantasy adventurers in your typical medieval fantasy world, but things quickly go to Hell from there. It's a simple system, and the estting introduces itself as you go along, so newbies are more than welcome.

Hey! The wilds of which Chicago 'burb? My husband and I live in Elgin, and while we've never played Savage Worlds, I'm always up for a dark fantasy medieval setting. Are you still looking for players?

Rich:

You know you can count me in. I've been itching to play.

Problem is I'm currently working a 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM shift out in Elgin.

Other problem is I picked up Evernight and read a good chunk of it. I can play dumb, of course.

Lemme know - e-mail, PM, whatever.

Later,
Matt

PS - havocthecat - just moved back to Elgin myself a few months ago - glad to see there are some gamers around! :)

Havoc: I'm in Glen Ellyn, which is either really far or pretty close to you, depending on what part of Elgin you're in. and yes, I"m still looking for players.

Matty: If we play on Wednesday or Thursday nights, I've got no problem with starting around 8ish, since I don't work on Thursday or Friday. Transportation is my big problem; I've got no way to get around, and my house is unsuitable for gaming.

As for the Evernight-reading question, I trust that you can play dumb. If I end up running it, I'll probably throw some new stuff in because what's there is a little scarce. Either that, or since we're on a dark fantasy kick, I can dig out my Dark Sun conversion. It was a blast last time I ran it, so it should do nicely now. I've always done better with the mideastern thing than more Eurocentric fantasy games anyway.

Wednesday nights would be cool for me. I assume you trusting I can play dumb is not an insult.

We may be able to use may place for gaming. I have an okay sized kitchen table and nook.

Later,
Matt

'Course not; just that if you're in it to have fun, you'll have to play dumb, and I've got no problem with that.

Plus, giving the adventures a closer read-through, I can tell there are parts that I'm going to make up completely, so you won't even have to play dumb most of the time.
