Play Location/Method:
Baltimore, MD - Near the JHU Homewood campus
Game/System:
Exalted, or possibly something less crunchy than that. Looking at Wushu, Nobilis, and Torchbearer.
Player or GM?
I like to GM, but I love when other people run oneshots too.
Time/Frequency:
Alternate Wednesdays or Fridays, most likely. I'll update this when I have a more definite timeslot. Starting up in late August.
Genre:
Exalted-style mythic "Asia". Very Ramayana-inspired, more likely than not. Another option I'm looking at is a kind of nanopunk Exalted thing... like the Diamond Age of Sorrows, so to speak. The Nobilis game would be a slightly different take on things, a Nobles of the Bronze Age deal; think of the characters as living, worshipped gods.
Current needs:
I'm looking for four or five people to play whichever ends up being the relevant game, about twice a month.
Accept Drop-In Players?:
No. Still, if you're interested in joining as a regular player, arrange to meet me and we can discuss it.
Accept Spectators?:
No. Not enough room for that.
Short description of the setting:
Exalted:
Explore the mystery of being explicitly Chosen for an inscrutable purpose; rediscovering memories of previous Ages and the romances of forgotten lives. A seafaring game, Exalted in SPAAAACE, or something like those is possible as well.
Nobilis:
You who were once prince, peasant, priest: You have awakened as God, with the voice of another singing in your mind and the world rippling with strangeness around you. You stretch the tension from your limbs, and are transfixed by your own grace. You are Nobilis, artist, sorcerer, and the world is your demesne, your canvas to paint, your demon to bind.
But there is darkness at the edge of your vision, and an implacable enemy armed with flowers and wailing steel, with eyes full of falling stars and hands more lovely than even your own. And all he wants is to erase you from the very books of Creation, to cast you into the World Sea which has no distant shore.
