I often browse the freelancer forum to check out new art. I have to say that I am continually impressed by what I see on web site portfolios.
Folks like unheilig, Storn, Rick Hershey, Eric Lofgren just blow me away with their talent. I hope that one day I'll get a chance to work you all (although I have worked with Rick before, but still...)
Anyway, keep up the great work! You guys are as important to this hobby as the writers...

Thanks Mark for your kind words.
Just to get some writer/artist dialogue going, what kind of games, writing would be top, prime choice for you? Certain genres, certain systems?

My pleasure, Storn. Again, that is some wonderful artwork on your site.

Well, typically, I write in the same genres that I like to play. :) I would say that my all-time favorite genre for both is SF, in particular cyberpunk and space opera settings. Second favorite genre is actually film noir from the Depression Era, which hasn't really been touched upon in RPGs (aside from Noir), but hopefully that will change after I finish my current project :)
I'm also a fan of fantasy RPGs, mainly dark and high fantasy settings, although I haven't done much writing in that arena. The pulp era and steampunk genres have really piqued my interest in the last year or so.
As far as systems are concerened, I'm a huge fan of CP2020's Interlock, Fudge and GURPS.
If you've visited the web site, you probably noticed that I play a ton of systems :) There's just so much out there to enjoy :)

You're working on The End, unheilig? That's excellent news indeed. I was wondering who was going to be illustrating it, and I'm glad that there's at least one name I recognize and can count on :)

Thanks for your nice words Mark. I plan on updating my web gallery soon, also. I hope you can find the time to have a look when I do. I'll likely post a note indicating as such within the month (I hope) [;}
