Re: [RPG]: Starblazer Adventures, reviewed by Mike Fischer (5/5)
hey everyone, i'm sure there's going to be a lot of different reviews over the coming months - i mean how could you possibly start to cover everything in the kind of detail most reviewers do with starblazer?!
The kooky thing is some people have complained about it being too big as well - i could have stripped out a heck of a lot of stuff but guess what - it would have been the same price. So we ended up giving people the core book and essentially another 2 or 3 supplements worth for the price of a 200 page core book.
I was so fed up of rpg's never giving you enough to really play - instead drip feeding the spaceship rules, the planetary stuff, the world building over several expensive supplements. The guys at Cubicle 7 were really supporting in allowing us to create this beast of a book but once you've read the short 'How Do I play this' chapter 2 you really don't need to read any other rules as a player and that I can actually explain in a few minutes before the game.
At some point if the sales go we'll we're going to do a stripped down player's book which is the bare essentials for players which will be pretty small.
In other news development is going well on Legends of Anglerre the fantasy follow to Starblazer - very exciting!
