Back to the review at hand, so the game is based on a comic? Is the comic any good? What's it about? ...and it doesn't have anything to do with "Space Battleship Yamato", right?
it was a great comic when i was a kid, packed full of cool stories, and mad artwork - action adventure through and through. But I realised it's out of print and not accessible so put it this way - imagine we wanted to create a huge generic space opera sci-fi rpg - imagine the cost of illustrating the book with all that cool artwork?

The lack of good art throughout most rpg's bugged me and obviously it's a cost issue for publishers but the Starblazer licence comes with more artwork than anyone could ever hope to use so see it as a new setting with lots of cool artwork and if you happen to pick up the comics on ebay then there's the added bonus - you definitely don't need to know the comics to enjoy the game - we've just pulled some of the coolest stories, characters, monsters, ships etc out of the comics along with their illustrations to use as starting points for Story Tellers and players
