The system isn't that complex that something similar couldn't have been achieved using all d6s IMO. Perhaps just noting an alternative in the rule would have been sufficient.

We wanted the game to be an introduction to all RPGS and wanted them to get used.
We would love for new users to eventually move on to other games or play other games
