While I agree that one must consider that Goodman stands to win by boosting D&D4, it should also be noted that the recent(ish) revision of the GSL allows Goodman and others to sell 3.x compatible product alongside 4e stuff.

So he also has a vested interest in his other products, i.e. 3.x stuff, doing well, which at least in my opinion somewhat balances the comments made re sales of 4e.
