Re: [RPG]: Prince Valiant, the Storytelling Game, reviewed by Sergio Mascarenhas (5/5
A truly wonderful game in every way. I found it near impossible to throw coins with any certainty so I used d6 high/low or odd/even. I've actually owned 2 copies over the years (lost in the mists of time) but I notice the local store has a slightly battered copy... I may have to grab it.
I used some of the Pendragon maps and adventures because but preferred PV.
I'd never heard of Hal and the image that was chosen for he cover was surely one of the most terrible pictures he ever produced with Val looking for all the world like an uber-camp cross between Freddy Mercury and Cleopatra. Any of the illustrations inside the book would have made a much more striking cover. The cover said 'this game is for kiddies' and it wasn't. A missed opportunity I think.
Great game.
