Honestly I liked the review. I was excited about HackMaster Basic when it was announced, and the review confirmed that my excitement was warranted. I'm not sure what problem other people have with the review. It reminds me when GURPS fanboys were jumping over me for my review of GURPS Lite 4e - which I think I also gave a 7/10.

About the only thing that turned me off was the mention of the flatulent flaw. It's a rather low form of humour that will get pretty annoying after a while. At least I hope it can't be chosen and that there are enough flaws to roll from that it'll be a rare occurrence.
