Converted from Phorums BB System

I'd heard that beyond the supernatural actually did really badly. Its potentially the reason why so much focus has to be put on Rifts, to restore finances.

Anyway, at a personal interest level, the author doesn't need to be there, esspecially when a lot of recent Rifts books are reprint-o-rama's. From what Bill Coffin himself has said, KS just doesn't play Rifts more than twice a year, if that. I would say thats the better indicator of personal interest, and on a creative level, personal interest is a must.

Its not uncommon though, to write for games without playing them: Monte Cook wrote a fairly good rant on the subject: http://www.montecook.com/arch_anrant10.html
