Amazing Save-Damage, and Super-Constitution *increase* your Damage Save bonus.

Armor, Force Field, and Protection all *decrease* the DC of the Damage Save.

The difference is important, because in the case of the latter, if the DC is reduced to 14 or less, then a Damage Save is not required at all. The attack is rendered null. With the former two powers, one might still need to roll the die, even if he only needs to get a 3 or better. It allows more chance for injury.
