Honestly, I've found that stunting (IE, creativity, visual thinking, linguistic articulation) is an aquired skill. In other words, the more you do it the better you get at it.
I've even found that people tend to develop their own 'stunt style', not unlike a writing style. I tend to describe stunts differently than some of the people I play alongside. Intentional variances in an individual's stunt style also highlights differences between characters.... a buff character with a hammer is going to stunt differently than the skinny guy left with only his fists.
Stunting can, if it's done well, turn combat into an exercise in roleplaying.
