They made their debut in Module X4: Master of the Desert Nomads, 1983, and were later re-introduced in AC9: Creature Catalogue, 1986.

However, they were not Incorporeal, or even undead. They were described as "similar" to lycanthropes and undead, but listed as humanoids.
