I'm glad to see them in the Field Folio, I've used the bhut in some past games, and the players were sufficiently awed by them. This new one is just even more badass than before, and probably fits more into the traditional Indian mythos. The lycanthrope and undead qualities it had before were probably an early attempt to quantify their nature in the more straight-laced old D&D monster system.
