The Battle of Iceland is, in my opinion, a landmark in adventure design - never have I seen in an RPG a scenario where the playere participate in such world shaking event, roleplaying through this crucial and hectic battle. The PC´s get plenty of options of what to do although (and correctly in my veiw) the events of the battle (one long hectic evtended contset) can sweep them up and take them with it (tho not just leaving them standing at the side). I personally was blown away by this scenario and view it as a mastyerpeice of RPG design...
