The game sounds interesting James. I was running a World of Darkness version of Lord of the Rings for a while and one day, one of my players told me about this new Lord of the Rings game. I was immediately interested, but 3 or 4 players at the table automatically said, "Don't get it." at the same time (enthusiastically)...so I didn't pay too much attention to it. The reason it sounds interesting to me is that the game looks like it could be made classless. In RuneQuest you sort of inherited your father's profession which gave you your starting skills...but from there on you were not restricted by any "class" rules. Is this similar to the Lord of the Rings game? Or does your class follow you throughout game play as in D&D? (Just so we don't start a new thread here, I know that you can change classes in D&D).
By the way...if anyone has any info on a classeless D&D system they have tried, I would be interested in hearing about it. (I tried Call of Cthulu d20...but didn't consider it to be free of the class system.)
