Not quite.

I want MODERATE dueling, moderate magic; I don't want minimalistic economy (not sure where I gave that impression); and no, not lots of demons. I want a system where the world can be enwrapped with magic, where wonders entreat the eyes and threaten from every shadow, OR where it is a rare and mysterious force, depending on a dial.

I don't think this is impossible. Ars Magica's magic system is great. Skyrealms of Jorune had a great combat system, as does Godlike. I haven't played TRoS, I'm buying it because of the reviews.

The only problem is, thus far, the twain haven't met. And I'm not convinced they CAN'T meet. I consider Godlike and DC Heroes to be the best superhero systems ever, and virtually flawless.

Since I found TWO games that really did it for me in the superhero genre, I'm looking for the same in fantasy. If it can be done for other genres, it can be done for fantasy too.
