RE: Ars Magica or TRoS

Converted from Phorums BB System

It's no news that Ars Magica has the greatest magic systems of the games I've ever played. While the 4th edition fixes a number of the flaws the 3rd edition had, it still retains the awesome feeling of the mythical europe. Combat rules in RoS are way better, but that's just how these games are done. AM was made for magic, RoS for combat.

Both have done excellently on their own areas, and the best RPG I could think of would be a combination of these two. With the possibility of doing everything but not having to do anything would be great.

About demons... AM doesn't deal primarily on them, although they can be the supporting force on an AM campaing. That's not AM's fault, the dualism in almost all the RPGs (good vs. evil) is. In AM you can perfectly well play a game with e.g. magi vs. the church instead of demons, and have quite different results.

I'd have to agree that while a game, that would combine AM and RoS would be great, a game that would combine AM, RoS and WHFRP would be perfect.
