For me it was a good deal, just because of the quality. I have 2nd edition, and all 3 books are loose-leaf, semi-gloss pages making full use of color. I then put the pages into individual page protectors, and have no concern whatsoever that the books will last indefinitely.

Yes, it's expensive, and that's probably why they went cheaper with the 3rd edition. I spaced out my purchases instead of getting them all at once as well.

In my opinion, though, it's definitely worth the price. (You do get a -lot- of information in the Shek Pvar and Religion books, including cultural and how the magic and religious societies work.)
