I have this hunch that I've already presented my view in some other forum, but what the heck.

I haven't playtested TRoS, only read it through, but it certainly looks good. Tuomo compared the systems rather well earlier in this thread. They're both good systems, though you're right about HarnMaster's price. It's certainly not cheap. On the other hand, if it looks too complicated with all the maneuvers and other stuff, try getting a look at HarnMaster somewhere, then grab the books you need to get your campaign going, and buy others - if needed - later on.

The only thing I can't really recommend about TRoS is the setting. It'll probably get a lot better with additional source books, but core book only gives a very general overview of it.
