Converted from Phorums BB System

Actually, buying HM3, HM Religion, and HM Magic is now up to 100 bucks.

I actually called up and spoke with one of the writers, and asked if that was canadian or american dollars, since it USED to be a canadian company; no go, its american now.

I then told him that that was the single biggest decision why I was going with TRoS. Certainly, I'm willing to pay for quality, but when I'm buying a game blindly and have nothing to go on but reviews, etc, to make a decision, dropping 100 bucks for a hefty product, or 40 bucks for what, in my opin, isnt a complete product, is too much.

He understood my opinion and said that since the game is now on looseleaf, its simple for them to add or subtract things in a matter of a few days; they had heard that complaint before, and they should consider possibly inserting at least a kernel of magic and religion, at least enough to get someone started before buying the full blown books.

In other words, they are considering all the ramifications.

In the meantime, he also said one of the selling points of their game is they offer a 30-day money back guarantee. I kind of laughed - to me, a 100 buck game with a guarantee still doesn't compare with a 35 buck game without it, when they both sound like games I think I'll enjoy.

I find it especially amusing when they have the psionics system; they should have bothered with at least a kernel of magic and religion as well, and to me its just an unwise business move.

anyway, I gave them my two cents, and they said it gave them something to think about. Hopefully it will amount to the best.
