Well I was expecting some sort of smart-ass response to my own typo (turnabout is fair play), but that's much cleverer than I had anticipated.

Being a dumb American, I've never heard "wait" used in that sense, and having figured it out now, I'm still a little baffled at how that would be associated with politicians. Maybe the Green Party, but they don't really count anyway.
