320 pages for $15 bucks, is THAT on your shelf?

Converted from Phorums BB System

All I can say is if a person decided that they didn't pick up SW because it was too thin, then the Trinity softback rpg had better be on their shelf. If it is not, then I am not impressed with their page/cost arguments.

The softback was 320 pages, half of which were in glossy four color for $14.95. If most gamers were really into a "value" of page volume, this should have been one of the best selling rpg books of all time. It was a marketing failure

Instead, for some reason, most customers didn't like something about Trinity and all the "value" of page/cost ratio didn't swing their vote. Heck, there was rave reviews for the game in Dragon and Inquest magazine. So by critical acclaim, the game was above average in concept and design.

But in the end, gamers will chose something that is line with their preferences over its cash value.

So if you passed over the Trinity softback because it "wasn't your style" and then you complain about page/cost on Savage Worlds ... hmmmm. okay, whatever.
