Well, I think it goes into superhuman rankings like d12+2, d12+4 and so on. But basically, yes, you only have five levels of each attribute.

And to my mind that's a good thing. Below average, average, above average, way above average, best in the world. I can handle that. It's when systems go from 1-20 or 1-100 that I start wondering if the difference between 16 and 17 is really all that important. Heck, I made a system which had a three-point human scale and a three-point superhuman scale. Six levels covered everything from Aunt May to the Hulk.

Anyway, the Deadlands multiple-dice system results in questions like "Which is better at TN7, 2d8 or 3d6"? I can work it out if I have to, but dealing with a single die is much easier.
