I find this very interesting, and encouraging -- I highly doubt that "straight-up" Universalis would be of interest to my traditional group. However, reading the review it seemed that some of the concepts in Universalis might be adapted to a more "traditional" campaign.

Some of the ideas -- like the pre-game discussion of assumptions and the like are already an aspect of games I run; not as formally defined, certainly, but there is an element of "social contract" and player-GM feedback that I think is valuable to me (as GM) that helps me run a game my players want to play.

Good review, and these additional comments have encouraged me to track the game down and take a look at it.
