Ultimate Powers Book, the .PDF edition

Converted from Phorums BB System

I've known about Zan's online edition of my book since getting online in 1999. Apparently Jeff Grubb knew about Zan as well. Neither of us has any problem with it.
TSR also knew of it and made no protests.
Of course, TSR no longer exists. And the deal that permited the existence of the UPB is no longer possible, which means the chance of a commercial reprinting of my book is about equal to George Bush admitting he commited desertion from the Armed Forces during the Viet Nam War. So the online spread of my book is the only way to gain new readers. Considering I have readers who who were not born when the book came out, this is a good thing.
(Wizards of the Coast doesn't really exist any more either, aside from being a brandname for Hasbro.)

While I apparently frightened Zan when I first wrote him upon discovering the download's existence, I made sure he knew I appreciated his efforts, especially his retro-fit of the initial ULTIMATE ADDENDA article, which contained stuff I had idiotically skipped over (the note cards were in the back of my desk drawer.....). I then gave him my next-to-last mint copy of the Fantastic Four Compendium and the notes on the material Marvel had ordered TSR to edit out and the uncompleted adventure I left out due to boredom and peace considerations.

The download is free. If it was not, I'd be yelling about it. If I'm not making any money on it, no one esle should be either.
