Yeah I still use V&V. I love it. The thing no one has mentioned about the "complicated" maths is that somehow the designers managed to design a fairly straightforward chargen system that actually mirrored real life principles (things like carrying capacity to body weight, movement based on combination of str, agil and end, etc etc). I was 13 and with a calculator it was a breeze (and the maths ended after chargen) and it's a great sleek system. We only played ourselves once (but it was awesome) and I only used the random powers when I was a GM looking for fresh ideas. I've run hundreds upon hundreds of hours of this great game.
