If not a major surge, at the turn of the century came 'Aberrant' (99), 'Brave New World', 'Godhood' and 'Godsend Agenda'... not to mention that a couple of d20 SH RPGs came out. Correct if I am wrong, but it seems that no one of these games had turned into a major hit.
