Just to point this out to people who might misunderstand...

House Thig did not "fall" by any definition of the word. They merged with House Verditius, a political move that gave their would-be Primus, Sharad Osei, the status of actual Primus, as well as giving the entire House access to some of the most talented Wonder-creators alive. In exchange, all they "lost" was their name.

House Verditius got something like a fivefold increase in membership, which boosted them out of Ex Miscellanea and into the status of Major House again.

It's presented as a really positive move for both sides. No "falling" involved.
