Converted from Phorums BB System
Oooo. Nasty!
Actually, I have a copy of the Compendium of Contemporary Weapons. It does have a Palladium Combat section at the beginning, some of which is new, and some of which really IS a reprint of old stuff (pages 19 and 20).
The new stuff, though, changes the combat system drastically, making it a lot more deadly. It's well-worth a read through.
The section on body armour is also good, and is possibly the best I've ever found in an RPG book.
But, as mentioned before, it IS all for the Palladium system (which I'm not too keen on). There are no conversion notes, and no mention that you might want to use the details for other systems.
When it comes to Palladium 'world' books (as opposed to their system books) they really seem to go by the philosophy 'nevermind the quality, feel the width'. How many times have they advertised their latest book 'with even more guns, more monsters and more equipment'?
