Oh, I read the book. In 1986, in fact!

Converted from Phorums BB System

And I read it again when I bought a new copy last year, too.

I reviewed This book in comparison to other gun books on the market, new and old. Hell, I would have also compared it to the first edition, if not for the fact that the jerk of my gaming group took it with him when he moved out to the midwest about 8 years ago.

Is it tired, dull and boring? Hell yeah; the damn thing looks just like the original, just printed on bigger sheets of paper! 20 years and Palladium has done nothing to evolve the way they present their content.

In comparison to other gun books, it is so thin on details as to be useless. Its the only gun book published since 1990 that doesn't include any real details about the weapons.

When I randomly open to a page in the rules and see nothing but material I've already read, I also don't think it is unreasonable to assume the entire section was lifted directly from Robotech, the place it first appeared, and simply dropped into place.

As for the Palladium specific stuff being isolated, allow me to just say two letters - P.V. Now allow me to back it up some more with a word - Damage.

Now it seems you're the one who hasn't really read through the book.

I will point out for everyone that you're venting some bizarre personal grudge you seem to have against me. After all, you did completely ignore the fact that I pointed out the one bright spot of the book; all the body armor, riot gear and EOD equipment. None of that stuff is presented in any other gun book in or out of publication, at least not in any of the ones I have.

But yes, please go get the brick. You really need to beat yourself with it. Maybe it will help you over this strange fixation of yours.
