But characters DO get Vision Cards after each quest--they choose one of the Vision Cards that the GM uses for the adventure and add it to their collection. So the Vision Cards provide a visual record of the characters' exploits.

In my experience, the Vision Cards are a big attraction for a lot of players, and not at all just a thing for newbies. I wouldn't play Everway without 'em. There are limits, of course--you do run into this sometimes:

"Okay, this is an image of my character, except he's male and not an elf."



But generally the vision cards work very well, and for awhile in the late 90s you could pick up sets of fantasy art cards CHEAP. I have notebooks and notebooks of the things.
