Fluff

Converted from Phorums BB System
I've been out of the loop for a while--since rogue trader, actually--but--didn't the eye of terror used to be a place where warp storms would prevent Imperial transit? I seem to recall that everynow and then, the Imperium would show up, kick butt for a few minutes, then depart before they were eternally trapped. Is this covered in the current fluff or has it changed?
Personally, the idea of a region of perinnial outlaws, slave traders, rogue traders and their ilk--implying, almost, dare I say it, the vary elements of Chaos--always appealed to me. It would be a shame to lose that edge. It seems like with army lists that are dedicated to the Eye of Terror, is there no corner of the galaxy that the Imperium can't touch?
Of course I might just be me that's out of touch too. I haven't paid attention lately, so please point out refernces that I might have overlooked. I always liked the images of the trapped/heretic space marines in the original rogue trader book thugh. It sounds like they tried to expand on the ideas of trapped legions--did they go to far? I suppose the idea of slaver lists is long gone as well. Oh well.
