Good review, but I wonder how accurate your playtest-related comments are since you have two decidedly non-standard characters in the party (a Traveller-style scout and a Space Marine?).

Granted, in this adventure it probably doesn't make a lot of difference because it's mostly talking with NPCs and other investigative activities. However, the adventure seems pretty solidly designed for your typical fantasy archetype mix; your use of PC types from outside those boundaries is less helpful to those of us approaching the adventure from a more "traditional" standpoint.

Just something you may want to keep in mind for future playtest reviews.
