Actually, the CIA method of introducing 'missions' if you will is a great plot device, but you're very right, the FASA game was very much oriented to the A-Team vs. the Daleks(LOL)!

Not real sure what is happening with the license for an RPG. I can tell you that the Beeb has yanked the toy license from Dapol and that there is news afoot on a potential new series, so they may be gathering up their property rights for a strictly BBC marketing line. Who knows, the Beeb moves in ways that make even the good Lord go, 'Huh?!'

If they did redo the game, I would hope it would veer more towards the Timelord set than the FASA set, as the former is much easier to learn and to play. Whatever incarnation it takes (no pun intended) I would hope it kept with the feel of Timelord. And god forbid it should ever be attached to D20. I can see it now: 'I'm a 15th level Timelord/Cyberman...'
