Sorry to hear that you don't like ANY of the new novels. I mayself have often found them lacking - but some are quite good. If you can get your hands on it, "War of the Daleks" (1997) by John Peel is always a good read.
Give it a try. What with Daleks, Thals, Draconians, Mechanoids, a Slyther and the "Space Special Security" Agency, this is a great book for the common fan who realy thinks he knows his WHO.
Also (thank goodness) it was the first WHO novel I'd read that didn't include a "Dumb Yankee". After reading "Goth Opera" and "Ghosts of N-Space" (both basicly good books), I stepped back from Doctor WHO novels for a bit. I don't mind not being included...but being mocked is no fun.
