A D20 game does not have to be a retread of D&D. In fact, a sci-fi version of, say, the Mutants and Masterminds system would be great for Doctor Who! It doesn't even have classes D20 Traveller is excellently done in my opinion, and I think a D20 Doctor Who game could be very cool. Classes are not neccesarily evil, you know...depends on how they are designed and used.
