Is it cool? It's at least worth a look. I remember being excited about Rifts, the rulebook is still very evocative after all these years, and a mature game of Rifts can be had. It's a fun setting. It's Gamma World on crack! My girlfriend's intro to gaming was Rifts. The system is horrid, but I like the world.
