I don't think anyone has a problem with you posting reviews. But it is good review technique, and common courtesy, to be upfront in your relationship with the author.

Just a sentence at the beginning of the review is all you'd need. You're recommending where we should spend our money, its only fair to be upfront about your personal connections to the author.
