That depends on what you call a relationship.

I've crossed pathes with the man. That's it. I can't even say I particularly like him, and I certainly wouldn't call him a friend. He's a jerk. But he also happens to be a jerk who can write some really impressive game suppliments.

so what would you suggest? Should I start every review of his works with "the author of this book is a jackass, but his work impresses me to no end in spite of that"?
