It's compatible with both. The changes between 3.0 and 3.5 don't really effect the variant rules in AU. You could easily take any of the races or classes into your D&D game of either version with little to no change, and take any D&D race or class into AU with little to no change (and the only changes both ways are setting based - AU doesn't use alignments and assumes a setting without major dieties, but animistic spirits and small gods instead).
