The only problem with Paranoia

Converted from Phorums BB System

...was that it took too long and got too involved making a character. For first time players, it was funny -- sort of "the joke's on you for spending that much time and effort!" After that, it got really old. I went out of my way to create a fast track Paranoia character system that got players into the game in 10 minutes.

Other than that, players and GM's alike have loved it. It's dramatic license to screw your buddies and get screwed by the GM all at the same time.

And only slightly off-topic:
Another good one for that is Hunter Planet, now likely OOP, but funny. Earth has been turned into a hunting grounds for alien visitors, and you're one of the aliens. It was very much in the same vein of Paranoia, as the GM has license to screw you depending on whether he was having a bad day, whether it was his birthday, etc.
