I don't want to put words in his mouth, but per a thread on the subject, Philip Reed thinks the original system is great, he plans on putting it out OGL to make cash. He hopes to release it in the future with a system closer to the original. IMHO I hope he makes enough cash on a d20 version for the rest of us to see this!

Other than that, about d20 in general, I agree.
