I was looking for a review on this book, but was disappointed.

You should have told us a bit about the plot, yes, but also about style, pace, theme, characters (something more than "he is supposed to be evil, but he isn't"). Try again with another book. Probably you can do it better. And don't take Brin's articles too seriously.
