Nothing remarkable!?!?!

It sounds like the reviewer heard all the hype and was let down. Or read the book on a dare or a bet.
I think the entire series is interesting, addicting, has a deeply complex history, characters I love and hate (sometimes the same character), and I can't wait for the next one. To each his own?
What's this whinning about no magic? Who says fantasy has to have magic? Martin said magic should be just that: rare, mysterious, and, well, magical. Keep reading the series, bub, you'll get yer magic.
And what's with the tone of the review? Here's my imitation of this reviewer doing Moby Dick:
"So there's this guy, and he's really mad. And he hates this one whale. Then he goes out and kills the whale. But the whale kills him. And his whole ship. That's it. End of story. Jeez, why'd I pay 10 bucks for this thing? I shoulda bought the clift notes. At least I wouldn've wasted two weeks reading it."
Since when did RPGnet accept submissions from lazy, moody high school students with an axe to grind? Oh, that's right...they'll accept reviews from anyone.
